2006 Barboursville Chardonnay (Barboursville, Virginia)

2006 Barboursville Chardonnay (Barboursville, Virginia)

Score 6.5/10
Price(my price) $14($17)

Very crisp, taste of pear
I thought it is a typical Cal Chardonnay, but actually it is from Virginia (my first wine from Virginia to drink!!!)
Barboursville vineyards is one of the major vineyards in Virginia, producing almost all the major grapes. An article of Financial Times on Aug 29 mentioned the winery's 2002 Malvaxia Pessito as one of the wines for people who like to experiment.

According to the winery's website, this wine is used as house wine at the Little Inn At Washington. Hope to dine at the restaurant while I'm in this area!

Chardonnay 100%
Purchased at Best Cellars in Clarendon
